The homeowers' beautiful Roswell home provided of space for this young family but needed to offer more "play" area for kids and adults alike. With approximately 800 SF of unfinished Basement, good use was made of the smaller space by providing an open floor plan. Separate sections are defined by the grid pattern in the dramatic coffered ceiling, as well as the cohesive color scheme and furniture-grade cabinetry pieces (at the wet bar and media cabinet each on opposite walls). The Exercise Room is separated by a French pocket doors for additional room flow.
This family with small children has a lot of growth to consider; therefore, top-grade/high-quality laminate wood flooring was used for it's strong durability, and storage areas were provided wherever possible, such as the small closet perfect for the younger set (the approximately 4'-high closet features bead-board walls with shelving storage).
Since the Basement could double as a guest suite, the beautiful Bathroom includes a full bath/shower combo. Bath finishes include Travertine tile flooring and tumbled "Noche" stone for the tub surround. A furniture-grade vanity completes the formal feel. The homeowners' style preferences for eclectic-casual resonates from the organic elements found throughout, including the beach-inspired color scheme to the abstract wall art.
Rather than a traditional Basement, the finished space doubles as a lower-level living area where this family now enjoys most of their time together.
