The homeowners' goals involved updating the appearance and functionality of their 20+-year old Kitchen, repairing the existing hardwood floor, improving the efficiency and flow of the existing space, and working within a specific budget. The most improved element of the new Kitchen is the island workstation. The previously long and physically awkward peninsula/bar was replaced with a more compact, freestanding island that houses the same components as the former bar but saves space, allows better room flow , all while acting as an attractive furniture piece and conversation area for meal-prep “spectators”.
The new, moderately-priced renovation features Wards® cabinetry in Maple, Kasmir Gold and Tropic Brown granite (in the Kitchen and Pantry, respectively), tumbled Travertine in "Durango" and "Noche" for the backsplash, and Thermador®, Dacor®, and Bosch® appliances.
